Hosting and log files
To operate this website we need hosting services like infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage, database services, security and maintenance services. We / our hosting provider process(es) the data of our website visitors like contact data, content data, usage data, meta and communication data on basis of our legitimate interest in a satisfactory and secure website offer. For the same reason we / our hosting provider process(es) so called server log files (e.g. website calls, files, time of call, amount of data, browser and operating system information, website referrers, IP addresses, user`s provider). IP addresses are stored in an anonymized form. The anonymized IP addresses are retained for 60 days. Information about the directory protection user is anonymized after one day. Error logs, which record failed page accesses, are deleted after seven days. These logs include the error messages, the accessing IP address, and, depending on the error, the requested webpage. Mail logs for emails sent from the web environment are anonymized after one day and then retained for 60 days. During the anonymization process, all data related to the sender/recipient is removed. Only data about the time of sending and information on how the email was processed (e.g., queue ID or whether it was not sent) is retained. Mail logs for emails sent via the mail server are deleted after four weeks. The extended retention period is necessary to ensure the functionality of the mail services and to combat spam.
We have concluded a data processing contract with the hosting provider.
LinkedIn
We operate a LinkedIn company page. The provider is LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland (“LinkedIn”). For certain processing activities on our company page, we are joint controllers with LinkedIn. If you follow a link to LinkedIn or visit our company page, your data will be processed by LinkedIn as the controller based on their privacy policy. When you interact with our company page, for example, by commenting, liking the page, or posts, your data will be processed within the scope of LinkedIn’s functionalities by both us and LinkedIn.
